Stanley Cup Playoffs: Bruins Ambush Flyers In Series Opener; 2OT Goal Squares Series For Predators
Two games were played on Saturday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.
Eastern Conference:
At Philadelphia:
David Krejci and Brad Marchand each scored twice as the Boston Bruins throttled the Philadelphia Flyers 7-3 on the road in the opening contest of their conference semifinal series.
Western Conference:
Matt Halischuk scored the game-winning goal at 14:51 of the second overtime period while Pekka Rinne stopped 44 of 45 shots as the Nashville Predators squared their series at one game apiece following their game-two road win 2-1 over the Vancouver Canucks.
Eastern Conference:

The second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued with two games on Friday.

Sean Bergenheim, Steve Downie, Steven Stamkos (PP), and Dominic Moore (EN) each scored a goal while Dwayne Roloson stopped 26 of 28 shots as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Washington Capitals 4-2 in the opening game of their conference semifinal series.

Benn Ferriero scored the game winner at 7:03 of overtime as the San Jose Sharks won the opening contest at home of their conference semifinal with the Detroit Red Wings 1-0.

NBA Playoffs: Hawks, Lakers, Mavs Advance
Three games were played on Thursday as the opening round of the NBA Playoffs continued.
Eastern Conference:
At Atlanta:
Joe Johnson scored 23 points while Jamal Crawford added 19 coming off the bench as the Atlanta Hawks advanced to the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs for the third straight year following their 84-81 home win in game six of their conference quarterfinal series with Orlando, eliminating the Magic four games to two, this despite a 25-point, 15-rebound night from Orlando's Dwight Howard. The Hawks will take on the Chicago Bulls in a conference semifinal series which starts this coming Monday night in Chicago.

Kobe Bryant scored 24 points (22 in the first three quarters) while Andrew Bynum added 18 (to go with his 12 rebounds) as the Los Angeles Lakers manhandled the New Orleans Hornets 98-80 on the road in game six of their first-round series to finish off the Hornets four games to two.
At Portland, Oregon:
Dirk Nowitzki scored 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks finished off the Portland Trail Blazers with a 103-96 road win in game six despite Portland's Gerald Wallace's 32 points as the Mavericks took their conference quarterfinal series four games to two. Dallas will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in a Western Conference semifinal series with the Lakers holding home-court advantage.
