Time For Tom and Jerry, Boys and Girls!

Time for Tom and Jerry in "Down Beat Bear."  In this 1956 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon, a bear, who escaped from the circus, dances up a storm whenever he hears music, causing problems for Tom.  With animation by Ken Muse, Ed Barge, Irvin Spence, and Lewis Marshall, layout by Dick Bickenbach, backgrounds by Robert Gentle, and music by Scott Bradley, this cartoon, shown in its' original CinemaScope format, was produced and directed by Joe Barbera and Bill Hanna.

Here's A Rare Treat, Boys and Girls!

From 1956, here's Clancy the Bull in "Police Dogged."  Shown in its' original CinemaScope format with original main titles, this cartoon, produced by TerryToons in New Rochelle, New York (and released theatrically by 20th Century Fox), with story by Tom Morrison, music by Phil Scheib, and uncredited animation by the legendary Jim Tyer, was directed by studio veteran Connie Rasinski.  This film was released shortly after CBS bought the studio from Paul Terry.
