And Now, A Word From You DeSoto Plymouth Dealer

Here's a commercial for the 1955 DeSoto, as it originally aired during an episode of You Bet Your Life, the comedy-oriented quiz show that was hosted by Groucho Marx.  George Fenneman, who was the announcer as well as Groucho's sidekick on the show that aired on the NBC Network from 1950-61, is seen here talking about the new, smart styling of the '55 DeSoto, as well as the make's two V-8 models.

Well, Here Is Proof....

That cigarettes----well, Chesterfields, anyway---ARE good for you. That's George Fenneman, best remembered as Groucho Marx's sidekick on both the radio and television versions of You Bet Your Life. This commercial aired during an episode of the original version of Dragnet.

Also included, a commercial for a Remco drive-in movie theater for kids. How 'cum they didn't include Gunsmoke plus Kiko the Kangaroo, or Perry Mason plus Gandy Goose?
