WHO DAT? SAINTS WIN SUPER BOWL
At Miami:
Drew Brees, the game's Most Valuable Player, threw for 288 yards and two touchdowns (16 yards to Pierre Thomas in the third quarter and 2 yards to tight end Jeremy Shockey in the fourth), Garrett Hartley kicked a Super Bowl-record three field goals of forty or more yards (46 and 44 yards in the second quarter and 47 yards in the third), and Tracy Porter intercepted a Peyton Manning pass and returned it 74 yards for the final touchdown with 3:12 remaining in regulation time as the New Orleans Saints won the first Super Bowl championship in their 43-year history, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 on Sunday night.

IT'S OFFICIAL: COLTS VS. SAINTS IN SUPER BOWL XLIV

At Indianapolis:
Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns (to Austin Collie [16 yards]in the second quarter, Pierre Garcon [4 yards] in the third, and Dallas Clark [15 yards] in the fourth) as the Indianapolis Colts erased a second-quarter 11-point deficit to defeat the New York Jets 30-17 Sunday to win the American Football Conference Championship. The Colts are heading for their second Super Bowl in four years.
At New Orleans:
Drew Brees threw for three touchdowns (one of 38 yards to Pierre Thomas in the first quarter [he also ran 9 yards for a score], a 9-yarder in the second quarter to Devery Henderson, and a 5-yarder to Reggie Bush in the fourth) and Garrett Hartley kicked the game-winning field goal with 4:45 expired in the first overtime period as the New Orleans Saints defeated the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 to capture the National Football Conference championship on Sunday. The Saints are heading to the Super Bowl for the first time in their forty-three year history.
The Saints and Colts battle each other on February 7 in Super Bowl XLIV, to be played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

Colts Overpower Ravens
At Indianapolis:
Peyton Manning threw two touchdown passes in the final two minutes of the first half---a 10-yarder to Austin Collie with 2:00 remaining, and a 3-yarder to Reggie Wayne with three seconds left---as the Indianapolis Colts overpowered the Baltimore Ravens 20-3 at home in an AFC divisional playoff game on Saturday.
The Colts will host next Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the winner or Tomorrow's New York Jets-San Diego Chargers contest.
With the Colts' win, Giants Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, has hosted its' last NFL game.

Yes, that was then-Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Mora's infamous "playoffs" outburst in 2001.
He was fired at the end of that season.

Niners Fall At Indy
At Indianapolis:
Reggie Wayne scored the game-winning touchdown, receiving a 22-yard pass from running back Joseph Addai in the fourth quarter as the Indianapolis Colts (7-0) won their 16th straight regular-season game Sunday, coming back to overcome the visiting San Francisco 49ers (3-4) 18-14. It was the Niners' third straight defeat.
