New Mexico Bowl: Stunning Comeback Carries Arizona Past Sister's Alma Mater

At Albuquerque, New Mexico:

In the opening game of the 2012-13 college football bowl season, quarterback Matt Scott threw a pair of short touchdown passes in the final 46 seconds as the Arizona Wildcats (8-5), who trailed by 17 points as the fourth quarter commenced, came back to upend the Nevada Wolf Pack (7-6) 49-48 in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl.

Hawaii Bowl: Golden Eagles Top Nevada Wolf Pack

At Honolulu:


Quarterback Austin Davis threw for two touchdowns, including the fourth-quarter game winner to Kelvin Bolden (4 yards) as the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (12-2; they placed 21st in the last BCS rankings) defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack (7-6) 24-17 in Saturday's Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.  The 12 wins were a USM single-season school record as Larry Fedora coached his last game for the Golden Eagles before taking over as North Carolina's head football coach.

Wolf Pack Dominate Pilots

At Reno, Nevada:


Dario Hunt scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on Thursday as the Nevada Wolf Pack (9-3) made it six wins in a row by handing the visiting Portland Pilots (3-10) their sixth successive setback 78-60.  Olek Czyz added 15 points, Jerry Evans, Jr. 11, and Malik Story 10 for the Wolf Pack.  Kevin Bailey scored 15 points to pace the sagging Pilots.

Ducks Make Loss To LSU Look Like Ancient History In Demolition Of UNR Wolfpack (Sorry, Susie)

At Eugene, Oregon:


Quarterback Darron Thomas completed 13 of 19 passes for 295 and six touchdowns, while La Michael James scored two of his own (one on a 44-yard reception and another on a 58-yard punt return) as the Oregon Ducks (1-1; #13 in the AP Poll and #14 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll) demolished visiting Nevada (0-1) 69-20 on Saturday in the Ducks' home opener.    Two of Darron's TD throws went to De'Anthony Thomas (no relation), one of 24 yards, another of 69.

Wolf Pack Hold Off BC In Mac and Cheese Bowl

At San Francisco:

Rishard Matthews caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt for another score as Nevada (13-1) capped off the most successful year in the school's football program's top-flight history with a 20-13 win over Boston College (7-6) in Sunday's Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Mustangs Trample Wolf Pack

At Honolulu:

Freshman quarterback Kyle Padron threw for a school record 460 yards and two touchdowns as Southern Methodist hammed Nevada 45-10 Thursday in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. This was the Mustangs' first bowl game in 25 years. Both teams finish the season at 8-5.
