Here's Tubby, Folks!

Here is a 1947 George Pal Puppetoon, the Academy Award-nomiated "Tubby The Tuba." 




Released by Paramount Pictures, this cartoon, produced and directed by George Pal,  was narrated by Victor Jory with music written by George Kleinsinger and story by Paul Tripp.  Other personnel include supervisor George Jordan, animator W. King, musical director Clarence Wheeler, and background artist Reginald Massie. 

The Duke Is On The Screen

From 1947, legendary jazz composer/pianist/bandleader Duke Ellington stars in the George Pal Puppetoon "Date With Duke."  The short features The Duke's self-composed "Perfume Suite."  Produced and Directed by George Pal and released by Paramount Pictures.
