Stanley Cup Playoffs: FLYERS OVER COME 3-0 DEFICITS---BOTH IN GAMES AND GOALS---TO OUST BRUINS

At Boston:

Simon Gagne scored the winning goal on the power play with 7:08 remaining to be played in regulation time as the Philadelphia Flyers came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Boston Bruins 4-3 in game seven of their Eastern Conference semifinal series to become only the third team in National Hockey League history (and fourth in American major team sports) to come back from a three-games-to-none deficit and win a best-of-seven playoff series.  The winning goal was set up after the Bruins were caught with too many men on the ice.  The Flyers will have home-ice advantage against the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference final, which will start this coming Sunday.
