Vandy Hands Beavers First Defeat In TicketCity Legends Classic Final

Brad Tinsley hit the game-winning shot with 4.5 seconds remaining while John Jenkins, named tournament Most Valuable Player, scored 14 points as the #18 ranked (AP) Vanderbilt Commodores defeated the previously-unbeaten Oregon State Beavers 64-62 in Monday's final of the TicketCity Legends Classic.  The Beavers' Jared Cunningham, who scored 72 points in his two most recent previous games, was held to nine points.  Both teams are now 4-1 on the year.

Beavers Remain Unbeaten After OT Win Over 'Horns

Jared Cunningham scored a career-high 37 points on Saturday as the Oregon State Beavers (4-0) defeated the Texas Longhorns (2-1) 100-95 in overtime in the semifinal round of the TicketCity Legends Classic.  The Beavers will take on #18-ranked (Associated Press poll) Vanderbilt in Monday's final.  The Commodores defeated North Carolina State 86-79 in the other semifinal match.  The win was Oregon State's first over the Longhorns since the Far West Classic in December 1967.

First 3-0 Start For Beavers In 11 Years

Career highs for Jared Cunningham (35 points) and Devon Collier (25) carried the Oregon State Beavers (3-0 for the first time since the 2000-01 season) to a 82-72 win over Hofstra (1-1) on Wednesday night in the TicketCity Legends Classic.

Beavers Way Too Much For D2 West Alabama

Jared Cunningham scored 17 points while Joe Burton and Devon Collier each added 14 as the Oregon State Beavers (2-0) manhandled the visiting Division II West Alabama Tigers (0-1) 93-60 on Monday night in the TicketCity Legends Classic.
