Trojans Hold Off Ducks Comeback For Win In Eugene, Effectively Ending Oregon's BCS Title Game Hopes; Stanford Win Over Cal Forces Oregon To Win Civil War To Win Pac-12 North Crown

At Eugene, Oregon:

Quarterback Matt Barkley completed 26 of 34 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday night as the Southern California Trojans (ranked #18 in the Associated Press poll; 9-2 overall, 6-2 in Pac-12 play) held off a furious fourth-quarter comeback by the Oregon Ducks (#4 in the BCS rankings, AP and USA Today/Coaches polls; 9-2, 7-1) to end the hosts' FBS-leading 21-game home winning streak 38-35, effectively ending Oregon's shot at a return to the BCS National Championship game.  With Stanford's 31-28 home win over California later Saturday night, the Ducks must defeat Oregon State at home in next Saturday's Civil War game in order to claim the Pacific-12 Conference's Northern Division title.
