From Cameo Pictures in 1935, we bring you "Murder by Television," starring Bela Lugosi.  In this one, a scientist collapses while demonstrating his new television machine. This movie, with screenplay by Joseph O'Donnell, from an idea suggested by Clarence Hennecke and Carl Coolidge,  was directed by executive producer Charles Sanforth.  Bela is joined in the cast by June Collyer, Huntly Gordon, George Meeker, and Henry Mowbray.

Ducks Climb Up A Spot In Both Media And Coaches Poll, Drop A Spot In BCS Rankings; Beavers Drop To #100 In BCS Rankings

After having their hands full at home on Saturday with Washington State, the Oregon Ducks drop a spot to #8 in the Bowl Championship Series rankings released on Sunday.


The Ducks find themselves ranked sixth in both the Associated Press media and USA Today/Coaches polls, up a spot from last week in both polls.


After becoming Utah's first Pac-12 conference victims, the Oregon State Beavers drop five places in the BCS rankings to #100.

Niners Top Browns; Lead NFC West By Four Games

Frank Gore ran for 134 yards and a touchdown while Alex Smith completed 15 of 24 passes for 177 yards and another score (two yards to Michael Crabtree) as the San Francicso 49ers (6-1) won their fifth straight National Football League game on Sunday, 20-10 over the visiting Cleveland Browns (3-4).  The Niners are off to their best start since 1998.

John White ran for a career-high 205 yards and a touchdown while Jon Hays threw two touchdown passes as the Utah Runnin' Utes (4-4 overall, 1-4 in Pac-12 play) picked up their first-ever Pac-12 Conference win on Saturday, 27-8 over the visiting Oregon State Beavers (2-6, 2-3)

Ducks Outlast Game Cougs To Stretch Winning Streak To Seven

At Eugene, Oregon:


De'Anthony Thomas scored two touchdowns (one on a 45-yard pass from quarterback Bryan Bennett, the other on a 93-yard kickoff return) while Lavasier Tuinei caught a pair of touchdown passes himself as the Oregon Ducks (ranked #7 in the BCS rankings; 7-1 overall, 5-0 in Pac-12 play) outlasted visiting Washington State (3-5, 1-4) 43-28 in Saturday action.

Riders End Losing Streak Win Home Win Over Ticats

At Regina, Saskatchewan:


Running back Neal Hughes scored the game's lone touchdown while Chris Milo made all three field goal attempts (11, 40, 12 yards) as the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-12) ended a five-game losing streak with a 19-3 home win over the visiting Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-9) in Saturday Canadian Football League action.
