Gator Bowl: Urban's Old Team (One Of Them, Anyway) Beats His New One

At Jacksonville, Florida:

Defense and special teams proved important to the Florida Gators (7-6) as they defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes (6-7) 24-17 in Monday's Gator Bowl game.  The Gators' Andre Debose returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, the longest scoring play in bowl history, Chris Rainey blocked a punt that was returned for another touchdown.  The win enabled Florida to avoid their first losing season since 1979.
