The semifinal round of the West Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament took place with two games played at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona:
In the opening contest, Chane Behanan scored 15 points while Gorgui Dieng blocked seven shots as fourth-seeded Louisville (29-9) made Michigan State (29-8) the first #1-seed to fall in the tournament with a 57-44 victory, despite a 13-point, 16-rebound performance from the Spartans' Draymond Green.
In the nightcap, Bradley Beal hit eight of ten shots en route to a 21-point night as the seventh-seeded Florida Gators (26-10) downed the third-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles (27-8) 68-58.
