The Washington State Cougars (19-16) shot 51% from the field (and 9 of 15 from three-point range) as they edged the visiting Pittsburgh Panthers (20-17) 67-66 on Monday night in the opening game of the best-of-three final of the College Basketball Invitational. Abe Lodwick scored 16 points to pace the Cougars while Reggie Moore added 14 and DaVonte Lacy added 10. The Cougars can lock up the CBI title with a win at Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
