Bob Feller 1918-2010

Bob Feller, the legendary Hall of Fame pitcher who won 266 games in a war-interrupted 20-year career---all with the Cleveland Indians---passed away on Wednesday from acute leukemia at a  Cleveland area hospice at the age of 92.

An eight-time all-star, Rapid Robert compiled statistics from 1937 through 1956 that ensured his enshrinement in Cooperstown.  He led the American League in vicories six times  and is still the Indians' career leader in shutouts (46), innings pitched (3,827), walks (1,764), complete games (279), wins and strikeouts (2, 581).
