Dick Beals, the voice actor best remembered for being the voice of the stop-action animated characters Speedy Alka-Seltzer and Gumby, as well as the original voice of Davey in the syndicated television series Davey and Goliath, passed away back on May 29 at age 85.
Mr. Beals' youthful voice came from the fact that he had a childhood glandular problem that stunted his grown (Dick stood four feet, six inches tall).
