In his first NFL start at quarterback, playing in place of the injured Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick completed 16 of 23 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns (three yards to Vernon Davis, 10 yards to Michael Crabtree) while Aldon Smith registered five sacks (increasing his total for the season to a league-leading 15) as the San Francisco 49ers (7-2-1) blew out the visiting Chicago Bears 32-7 (7-3) on Monday night.
