Jazz Legend Dave Brubeck, R. I. P.

Dave Brubeck, the pianist and composer who helped made jazz popular once again during the 1950s and 1960s, and who was best remembered for recording the first jazz album to sell a million copies ("Time Out") and the still identifiable single from the album ("Take Five"), passed away on Wednesday at Norwalk, California while en route to a cardiology appointment.

Mr. Brubeck would have celebrated his 92nd birthday this Thursday.
