Beavers Stun Cal In Berkeley; Bears Lose Star RB To Concussion

At Berkeley, California:

Quarterback Sean Canfield threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns and the Rodgers brothers each scored a TD (James caught a 15-yard pass for a score and Jacquizz ran 24 yards for another) as Oregon State (6-3, 4-2) knocked off California (6-3, 3-3, #20 BCS rankings) 31-14 on the road Saturday. With the win, the Beavers gained bowl eligibility. The Bears, meanwhile, lost star running back Jahvid Best in the second quarter with a concussion after he slammed to the ground in the end zone after scoring the hosts' first touchdown.
