Stanley Cup Playoffs: OT Road Wins Give Sabres and Predators 3-2 Series Leads

Two more games were played on Friday as the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.


Eastern Conference:


At Buffalo:


Tyler Ennis scored twice, scoring the game winner at 5:31 of overtime as the Buffalo Sabres took game five of their conference quarterfinal series with the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 on the road to take a three-games-to-one lead.


Western Conference:


Jarred Smithson scored at 1:57 of overtime as the Nashville Predators knocked off the hosts Anaheim Ducks 4-3 to take a three-games-to-two lead.  The Predators, with a win at home on Sunday, would win a playoff series for the first time in franchise history.
