NBA Playoffs: Hawks Smother Bucks To Set Up Encounter With Magic: Lakers Turn Back Jazz In Series Opener

The NBA Playoffs continued on Sunday with two afternoon games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Atlanta:


In the final game of the postseason's opening round, the Atlanta Hawks, with Jamal Crawford scoring 22 points and with a 16 rebound, 15 point performance from Al Horford, defeated the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 95-74 in game seven to win their conference quarterfinal series four games to three.  Next up for the Hawks, a conference semifinal series with the Orlando Magic, which will begin Tuesday night at Orlando.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Los Angeles:


Kobe Bryant scored 11 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter as the Los Angeles Lakers recovered from blowing the lead and turned back the visiting Utah Jazz in the opening game of their conference semifinal series 104-99.  Pau Gasol added 25 for the Lakers.
