NCAA East: Tar Heels Dominate Marquette; Kentucky Knocks Out Buckeyes

The regional semifinal phase of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament concluded on Friday with four games, including two in the East Region, with both games played at Newark, New Jersey.


In the opener at the Prudential Center, Tyler Zeller scored 27 points and added 12 rebounds as #2 North Carolina dismantled # 11 Marquette 81-63.


In the nightcap, Brandon Knight connected on a 15-foot jumper with five seconds remaining as #4 Kentucky knocked off #1 Ohio State (the tournament's top overall seed) 62-60.  Josh Harrellson had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.


The Wildcats face North Carolina on Sunday for the trip to Houston and the Final Four.
