Hawaii Bowl: Golden Eagles Top Nevada Wolf Pack

At Honolulu:

Quarterback Austin Davis threw for two touchdowns, including the fourth-quarter game winner to Kelvin Bolden (4 yards) as the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (12-2; they placed 21st in the last BCS rankings) defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack (7-6) 24-17 in Saturday's Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.  The 12 wins were a USM single-season school record as Larry Fedora coached his last game for the Golden Eagles before taking over as North Carolina's head football coach.
