Niners Overcome Power Outages, Batter Big Ben, Smother Steelers

At San Francisco:


In a game delayed twice by power outages at Candlestick Park (20 minutes for the start of the game and 16 minutes in the second quarter) the San Francisco 49ers (11-3) , with Alex Smith throwing a touchdown pass to Vernon Davis (one-yard, third quarter) and Frank Gore running five yards for a fourth-quarter score, defeated the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4) 20-3 on Monday Night.  The Niners intercepted Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger three times.
