NBA Playoffs: Heat Finish Off Knicks; Grizzlies Force Game Six With Clippers

The NBA Playoffs continued on Wednesday with two games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Miami:


LeBron James scored 29 points while Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh each added 19 as the Miami Heat eliminated the New York Knicks by winning their conference quarterfinal series four games to one in the aftermath of their 106-94 game-five home victory.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Marc Gasol scored 23 points while Zach Randolph added 19 (to go with his 10 rebounds) as the Memphis Grizzlies avoided elimination by winning game five of their first-round series, 92-80 over the visiting Los Angeles Clippers, who still lead the series three games to two.  The Clippers can close out the series in Los Angeles with a game-six win on Friday, otherwise, the series returns to Memphis for game seven on Sunday.
