NBA Playoffs: Heat, Thunder Take 3-0 Series Leads

The NBA Playoffs continued on Thursday with two games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At New York:


LeBron James scored 32 points as the Miami Heat smothered the New York Knicks 87-70 on the road in game three of their conference quarterfinal series for a commanding three-games-to-none series lead.  The Knicks have now lost an NBA record 13 straight postseason contests.  The Heat will go for the four-games series sweep in New York on Sunday afternoon.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Dallas:


Kevin Durant scored 31 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder find themselves one victory away from dethroning the defending champion Dallas Mavericks following their 95-79 road victory in game three of their first-round series, which the Thunder now lead three games to none.  Oklahoma City can finish off the Mavericks with a win in Dallas on Saturday night.
