Stanley Cup Playoffs: Rangers Win 3OT Thriller To Take 2-1 Series Lead; Predators Cut Coyotes Series Advantage To 2-1

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Wednesday with two games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Washington:


Marian Gaborik scored the winning goal at 14:41 of the third overtime period as the New York Rangers took a two-games-to-one lead in their conference semifinal series with their 2-1 road win over the Washington Capitals. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist stopped 45 of 46 shots for the win while his Washington counterpart Braden Holtby stopped 47 of 49.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Nashville:


Pekka Rinne stopped all 32 Phoenix shots as the Nashville Predators, with David Legwand and Mike Fisher scoring first-period goals 66 seconds apart, blanked the visiting Coyotes 2-0 to cut the Phoenix advantage in their conference semifinal series to two games to one.
