Niners Come Back To Hand Lions First Loss

At Detroit:

Quarterback Alex Smith threw a six-yard touchdown pass to tight end Delanie Walker with 1:51 remaining as the San Francisco 49ers came from behind to knock off the previously undefeated Detroit Lions 25-19 in Sunday National Football League action.  Frank Gore carried the ball 15 times for 141 yards (including runs of 47 and 55 yards) and a touchdown (1 yard).  The defeat ended the Lions' regular-season winning streak at nine games dating back to last season.  The Niners now hold a 2 and 1/2 game lead atop the NFC West Division.  Both teams are now at 5-1.
