NCAA West: Michigan State and Florida Advance To Sweet Sixteen

The West Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament continued with two games.


At Columbus, Ohio:


At Nationwide Arena, Keith Appling scored 19 points, while Draymond Green added 16 (to go with his 13 rebounds) enabled top-seeded Michigan State (29-7) to win a hard-fought contest with ninth-seeded Saint Louis (26-8) 65-61.


At Omaha, Nebraska:


At CenturyLink Center, Kenny Boynton scored 20 points as the seventh-seeded Florida Gators (25-10)  raced out to a 28-point halftime lead and coasted to a 84-50 fist-beating of fifteenth-seeded Norfolk State (26-10).
