Defensive end Justin Barno blocked Joshua Steele's 40-yard field goal attempt on the final play of the game as the Philadelphia Soul (1-0) handed the New Orleans VooDoo (0-1) their twelfth consecutive Arena Football League home defeat 63-62 this past Sunday in the AFL regular-season opener for both clubs.
