Ducks Turn Buffaloes Into Hamburger

At Eugene, Oregon:

De'Anthony Thomas scored two touchdowns, one on a 9-yard run, the other on a punt return of 73 yards, while quarterback Marcus Mariota threw for two TDs and ran for another and backup QB Brian Bennett ran for three scores as the Oregon Ducks (ranked #4 in the BCS rankings, #2 in both the AP and USA Today/Coaches polls; 8-0 overall, 5-0 in Pac-10 play) scored 56 points in the first half en route to a 70-14 Saturday home demolition of Colorado (1-7, 1-4).

The 70 points were the most the Ducks ever scored in a conference game.
