EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Chicago:
Derrick Rose scored 31 points, Kirk Hinrich added 27, Luol Deng contributed 20, while Joakim Noah had 10 points and 15 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls blew a 22-point lead but held on for a 108-106 home win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in game three to cut the Cavaliers' lead in their conference quarterfinal series to two games to one.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Portland, Oregon:
Jason Richardson scored a playoff career-high 42 points as the Phoenix Suns again overpowered the injury-plagued Portland Trail Blazers 108-89 on the road in game two to take a two-games-to-one advantage in their first-round series.
At Oklahoma City:
In the first NBA playoff game to be played in Oklahoma, a 29-point, 19-rebound performance from Kevin Durant, as well as 27 points from Russell Westbrook, carried the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 101-96 home win over the Los Angeles Lakers in game three of their opening-round series, cutting the Lakers' lead to two games to one.
