Stanley Cup Playoffs: Caps And Bruins Lead 3-1(In Boston's Case After 2OT Thriller); Canucks Square Series With Kings At 2-2

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued Wednesday night.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Montreal:

Alex Ovechkin scored twice as the Washington Capitals defeated the Montreal Canadians 6-3 in game four to lead their conference quarterfinal series three games to one.

At Boston:

In the longest game of the playoffs thus far, Miroslav Satan's power-play goal at 7:41 of the second overtime period lifted the Boston Bruins to a 3-2 come-from-behind home win in game four over the Buffalo Sabres.  The Bruins now lead their opening-round series three games to one.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Los Angeles:

A four-goal third period (Mikael Samuelsson, Sami Salo, Henrik Sundin, and Ryan Kesler) enabled the Vancouver Canucks to defeat the Los Angeles Kings on the road in game four 6-4 and even their best-of-seven series at two games apiece.
