NBA Playoffs: Lakers And Jazz Set Up Conference Semifinal Encounter; Hawks Force Game Seven

The NBA Playoffs continued with three games on Friday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Milwaukee:

Jamal Crawford scored 24 points and Joe Johnson added 22 as the Atlanta Hawks forced a seventh and deciding game in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with the Milwaukee Bucks by winning game six 83-69 on the road.  Game seven will take place Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Oklahoma City:

Kobe Bryant scored 32 points and Pau Gasol grabbed 18 rebounds and tipped in the winning basket with a half-second remaining as the Los Angeles Lakers finally eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 95-94 road win in game six, enabling the defending champs to win their conference quarterfinal series four games to two, in spite of 26 points from Kevin Durant (despite 5-for-23 shooting from the field) and 21 from Russell Westbrook.

At Salt Lake City, Utah:

Carlos Boozer had 22 points and 20 rebounds, and Wesley Matthews scored 23, as the Utah Jazz finished off the Denver Nuggets with a 112-104 win at home in game six, to win their first-round series four games to two.


The Jazz and Lakers will play each other in a conference semifinal series, with Los Angeles getting home court advanctage.
