Stanley Cup Playoffs: Coyotes Force Game Seven Back In Glendale; Canucks Finish Off Kings In Six Games

Two games were played on Sunday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Detroit:

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 31 of 33 shots as the Phoenix Coyotes, with their first three goals coming from special teams----Lauri Korpikoski's shorthanded goal in the first period and Mathieu Schneider and Radim Vrbata's power play tallies in the second----defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 on the road in game six to force a seventh and deciding game of their conference quarterfinal series this coming Tuesday night in Glendale, Arizona.

At Los Angeles:

A three-goal third period----with Kevin Bieksa, Daniel Sedin, and Alex Burrows each scoring once---enabled the Vancouver Canucks to come from behind to defeat the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 on the road in game six and win their best-or-seven series four games to two.
